Parlement des Jeunes Genevois

Description

PJ Genevois, formally known as the Parlement des Jeunes Genevois (PJG), is a dynamic association founded on 22 February 2012 by representatives from the youth parliaments of Meyrin, Versoix, Thônex, and Grand-Saconnex. Open to all young people in the Canton of Geneva, the PJG has engaged over 200 individuals in its nearly seven-year history and currently boasts around thirty active members. This non-partisan association is committed to serving the interests of the youth, providing a platform where young people can voice their concerns and actively participate in societal development.

Contribution to innovation: PJG’s innovation lies in its dual focus: advocating for youth interests with local and cantonal authorities and encouraging active societal engagement among young people. This includes promoting political rights, cultural and sporting involvement, and associative engagement. As a member of the Fédération Suisse des Parlements de Jeunes (FSPJ) and the Geneva Youth Associations Liaison Group (GLAJ-GE), PJ Genevois leverages a robust network of institutional and associative partners. By integrating modern technology and digital platforms, PJG enhances remote learning and community engagement, ensuring that their initiatives are accessible, sustainable, and resonate with the evolving needs of the youth they serve.
